It is a broadly described annual report of Pubali Bank Limited in the year of 2011. Authorized capital and paid-up capital at the bank stood at Taka. 1000 Crore and Taka. 670.76 Crore respectively in 2011. At the end of 2010, the Total deposit was Taka. 98850.50 million That’s come to Taka. 123805.97 million at the end of 2011 showing 25.25% increase. Out of the total deposits Time Deposits Tk. 103315.03 million and Diamond Deposits were Tk. 23490.93 million i.e. 83.45 % and 16.55% respectively. During the year the Bank made a provision of Tk. 70 million against loans and advances, diminution in value of investment exposure of Off-Balance Sheet items and provision of Tk. 2270 million against Corporate Income Tax and Deferred Tax As such, net profit of the Bank stood at Taka. 3140.22 million.
The Board of Directors has recommended @25% Stock and @5% Cash Dividend for all shareholders of the bank out of profit on basis of audited accounts for the year 31st December 2011. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
