Genital warts are small fleshy growths, bumps or skin alterations that appear on or about the genital or anal location. Genital warts are quite normal. In England, they would be the second most common form of sexually transmitted infection (STI) following Chlamydia. Genital warts are caused by a viral skin infection brought on by the human papillomavirus (HPV).
