In astronautics, the Oberth effect is where the use of a rocket engine when travelling from high speed generates additional useful energy when compared with one at lower speed. Oberth effect occurs for the reason that propellant has a lot more usable energy and as it happens that the vehicle will able to use kinetic energy to create mechanical electric power.
